Can memberships be paid monthly or is it a one-off payment?You can either make a single payment of $380 or monthly instalments of $32.50 (includes $1 administration fee). The monthly instalment can be paid by direct debit. |

When does a membership expire? |
When does a membership expire?Proudmouth Club membership is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, for example: 1 January 2007 – 1 January 2008. Memberships can't be 'put on hold', deferred or transferred. |

Do I see the dentist first?You can choose to have your first appointment with either your dentist or hygienist, however we do recommend you book the first appointment with your dentist. |

What happens during a dentist's consultation? |
What happens during a dentist's consultation?Your consultation includes a complete examination of your soft and hard tissue (gums and teeth/bone) and any x-rays required. To meet your lifetime oral hygiene goals, your dentist will also discuss a future treatment plan with you. If you require specialist treatment, such as treatment for advanced periodontal disease, then you will be referred to a Proudmouth specialist. |

What is involved in a hygiene appointment? |
What is involved in a hygiene appointment?The primary role of a hygienist is to prevent periodontal (gum) disease through non-surgical treatments. Hygienists also assess their patients' personal oral hygiene routines and make recommendations that would improve dental and oral health. All Proudmouth Club members receive two 45-minute hygiene treatments a year. We recommend you space these six months apart. Each appointment involves a scale, clean and polish, a free teeth-whitening consultation (if requested) and bite wing x-rays (if required and at the hygienists' discretion). |

What is a Panex?A Panex (panoramic x-ray) is a scan that allows your dentist to check your jaw joint, upper and lower jaws, the bone around your teeth and your teeth for disease. It is also used to measure bone depths and identify vital structures for the placement of implants. |

Do I have to have the items in the Proudmouth Club maintenance pack?We believe the kit provides the best 'at-home' care for your mouth. We are open to any suggestions about other products you believe should be in the kit. |

Can I claim Proudmouth Club on insurance?This will depend on the type of insurance plan you have. 'Plaque control' will be printed on the receipt for Proudmouth appointments. Check with your insurance provider to see if you're covered. |

Is the Proudmouth Club transferable?The Proudmouth Club is designed to provide ideal dental care for one person. We are unable to break the package up so that you can share it with someone else. However, you can purchase Proudmouth Club membership as a gift for a family member or friend. |
